Seniors @ BPL

Welcome seniors! On this page, you'll find information and programs to help you get more out of the Berkeley Public Library. In addition to what is listed below, be sure to keep an eye on the library calendar for other activities.

Home Delivery

If you cannot come to the books, the books can come to you! If limitations in life mean that you're not able to come to the library, we are happy to offer assistance by bringing books and other materials to your home. To find out more about about our home delivery program, please call a staff member at 708-544-6017.

Coffee Mornings

If you have your mornings free, the Berkeley Library hosts Coffee Mornings on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00am to noon. Free coffee is available to all visitors, and there are cards, dominoes, and board games ready to be played. Stop and visit with neighbors, read the morning newspapers, find a new book, or just have a warm cup of coffee!

Crochet & Needlework Nights

Two Thursdays a month, the library hosts a Crochet and Needlework group that meets on the lower level of the library. While the focus is traditionally crochet and knitting, other forms of needle craft such as quilting and sewing are welcome. There is no cost or pre-registration required to attend. Stop in and meet other patrons with similar hobbies! For more information, contact Loretta at 708-544-6017.

Adult Book Group

On the third Wednesday of the month, the Berkeley Library Book Group holds a casual discussion. Genres include mystery, romance, literary fiction, and biographies. There is no cost or pre-registration required. For more information, contact Sonia at 708-544-6017.
